Funsoul (Also known as Email-Worm.Win32.Funsoul or refered as the file name, Funny) is a worm on Microsoft Windows that spreads via email. It was one of the first instances of a computer virus that could call the police on the user, and attempt to frame the user for doing illegal activities.

When run, the virus would display a fake run-time error, which appears to disguise itself as a printer error. It would then rewrite Autoexec.bat and Help.bat, where it would insert code that would make the modem dial 911 twice on boot. However, if the user doesn't have a modem, this code will not work, and on boot it will have a fail message, and then the computer will boot and work as normal. However, if the user didn't turn off the help message on computer boot, it will display an error message. But the computer would still as normal. The worm however, will change the IE homepage to a website about the terrorist, Timothy James McVeigh. This attempts to frame the user for illegal activities.
