The Banleed family of worms is a small family, with only two worms in it. They are both risk level 1 worms and both spread to users through shared files and shared networks. They both try to steal the user's bank and credit card information by directing the user to a fradulent bank webpage, then the worms would send the information to their remote hosts.


  • W32.Banleed.A: This worm is a shared file worm and was discovered 20/4/06. It is less common than its other variant, but harder to remove.
  • W32.Banleed.B: This worm is alike to Banleed.A in its symptoms. It is more common than Banleed.A, and easier to remove. Discovered 28/6/06.
